emotional hotness
People ask me, Tim, why don’t you have a girlfriend yet? And I answer, because I stink.
But when I see a girl that is more than attractive, I say:
Sure, she’s hot, but is she emotionally hot.
Emotional hotness is something that I hold in high regard. I can’t describe it concretely, but I can describe it in scenes: The way the girl commands the conversation; The way they carry their demeanor; The place where their values lie; The state of said values; The way they hold their head.
This list will grow (hopefully), as I find out for myself what emotional hotness is.
I think what makes my mind just a little bit mushy is this. Sure I ask the question above, but why does it not go the other way?
She’s emotionally hot, nothing else matters…
Because it seems that most of the time at least, anecdotal evidence shows:
She’s hot, nothing else matters…

i’m glad you blogged this. i don’t befriend myself with silly ppl and i must say, you’re definitely on my list of awesomeness. honestly? the girls i associate myself with are just like you..let me rephrase that, MOST of my girlfriends think that. sure, there’s a billion guys out there that have got the looks, the smartness, good backgrounds, great family morals & values, the general way they portray themself in a social setting..the whole 9 yards. but i think we (girls) all come back to that question, “is he emotionally hot?”. that list you just created on the top of your head are usually the most basic questions everyone needs to ask before going onto the next step. i don’t want to seem cliched or anything but it’s a cliche for a reason haha: be patient, wait, all in God’s time. girls will come and go, you’ll be attracted to certain ones and given time, you’ll know if she’s “emotionally hot”..that’s just something everyone has to go through. so with that, i’m fully confident that He has someone extra special for you and eventually, EVENTUALLY she’ll pass your list with flying colors.
