Something interesting: statistics show (pardon me for not being able to cite sources at the moment) that cinema attendance increased during times of past economic turmoil. This makes sense. People want to keep their minds away from the trouble and what better way to be occupied for a couple of hours. And it’s cheap, relatively.
So, to those that are unsure whether their dollars and cents are safe in the bank and to those without any, I give you a taste of one of the remaining blockbusters of 2008 and its music. Enjoy.

my opinion on the theme song:
ahh not too happy…pretty disappointed actually… it starts out great…the lyrics are fantastic..instrumental is absolutely outstanding..i was visualizing the theme song with the trailer….and then…ugh..falls apart…it’s becomes crap…it’s like they were just trying to fill the rest of the song with whatever they could do…too much vocal soloing by alicia keys..jack white NEEDS more electric soloing..compared to casino royale’s theme (which was brilliant “You know my Name-Chris Cornell”)..meh, not up to par at all. this is the NEXT JAMES BOND (can’t wait..nov.7th seems so far) !!! this movie is going to be a HIT…it needs a better song than this..something that’ll blow your mind..something that’ll keep you on your toes..waiting in eager anticipation because the song is just so damn good that you have NO idea what’s coming your way..and then BAM!!..unfortunatley, no offense..this just doesn’t do it.
Hi! I saw your blog on Missy and Dani’s blogroll so I decided to check it (hope that’s not too creepy, ha)
But meh, about the collab. My expectations were quite high after hearing that they would be doing the song together. And like what Dani said, the instrumentation’s sick. But Jack’s voice doesn’t mesh with Alicia’s (ie. the chorus). I would have enjoyed Alicia and Chris Cornell’s voices together, personally. I’m more excited to hear what Noel Gallagher’s made (even though he wasn’t officially invited to offer his services on the soundtrack).
But I am deathly excited for the movie. I’m kinda happy that they’re steering away from the requisite lines like “shaken not stirred” or even the “Bond, James Bond.” and are focusing on character development and the plotline. So excited!
