Photoblog!

I had the chance to bag a 17-35 2.8 for only 1 grand, but someone snatched it out from under me.  So, in honor of that, these were all shot on the shorter end of my 18-55 3.5-5.6.  These shots span the past week or two.

Kudos to my fabulous impromptu specimens.  They are all extremely delightful.

In celebration of today, this glorious Monday, I present you this following public service announcement.

The lolrus is an endangered animal, only 3 and one half are known to exist.  Please, give peace a chance.

Entropy is one of the laws of the universe.

My new 50 1.8 wasn’t responsible for the photo below.  I need to take her out on a proper spin before I post real pictures.  The next on the queue is some filters to protect the new glass and maybe a hood… then a Nikon SB-800 (tax return money?).

I had an awesome conversation with a very real professional photographer who worked as the Director of Photography for a big newspaper in Quebec as well as shooting for Reuters in Europe and the Middle East among a whole slew of places. In short, he’s big time. His ideology of photography is fascinating.
